Call for papers!
Welcome to the 9th HAINA network’s workshop to take place in Gothenburg during 15-17th August 2012!
The theme of the workshop is “Memories and Mobilizations around gender issues in Latin America”. As in previous occasions, this will be a multidisciplinary workshop, thus all disciplines are welcome.
Under the main theme, we wish receive papers around these two thematic fields:
1.Construction of the memory and gender through texts, discourses and actions 2.Mobilizations around the issue of gender at the social, political, economic and intellectual level.
This is a call for abstracts on any of the issues listed above. The abstracts should be no longer than 200 words in Spanish, Portuguese or English. They should have the name of the paper’s author, their affiliation, the theme and the abstract. Deadline for the sending of abstracts: May 2, 2012. To be sent to: edme.dominguez@globalstudies.
ATTENTION! This call is primarily for participants from the Nordic countries (or residents in the Nordic countries regardless of origin). Participants from non-Nordic countries will be accepted only if space is available after May 2.
As we traditionally do, after finished the network we plan to publish the papers once they are re-written and corrected as articles in the 9th volume of HAINA. More details on this publication will be announced later on.
The participation in the workshop is free (no conference fees). Travel and hotel costs will have to be covered by the participants. More details on this will follow later on.
